To bring out the
spiritual dimension in your life, it is wise to use certain
tools, which have already been established. In ancient times
people went deep into the understanding of the Self and
brought out spiritual practices, which help you to remain
centered in the Self. These tools have been handed down over
the centuries, and are so beneficial that they hasten progress
on the path.

Yoga |
|
|
Yoga is a 6000-year-old
scientific technique for spiritual development. Yoga is a
Sanskrit word meaning "union", thus its goal is the
unification of body, mind and spirit. Because the science of
Yoga is so old, it has developed many paths towards obtaining
the goal of union. This state of union is called "samadhi"
or enlightenment, where we experience the unity of not just
our mind-body-spirit, but experience the whole universe as one
interconnected whole.
Yoga is not a religion, but a
scientific methodology of the experience and integration of
the mind, body and spirit. Yoga is a toolbox for spiritual,
mental and physical health and well being. It is a philosophy
of life, a code of conduct, an attitude and an approach, as
well as an art of living which is capable of ensuring physical
well-being, mental peace, harmony, moral elevation and
spiritual uplift. |

| Meditation |
|
In the practice of
Meditation you can directly experience the vastness of the
Self. Our first and foremost commitment is to do service
in the world. If there is fear in your life, it is because of
a lack of commitment. If there is confusion in your life, it
is because of lack of commitment. The very thought, 'I am here
in this world to do service', dissolves the "I" and
when "I" dissolves, worries dissolve. Service is not
something you do out of convenience, or for pleasure, you have
to commit.
An uncommitted mind is miserable. A
committed mind may experience rough weather but will reap the
fruits of its toil. When you make service your sole purpose in
life, it eliminates fear and brings focus and purposefulness
in your mind and action, bringing long term joy in the
resolution of the short term problems! |
